Perspective is a really broad topic. Everyone has different perspectives. Perspectives create relationships. Perspective destroys relationships. When people have different perspectives, sometimes it causes the two people to learn from each other and see things in a different light. dogs are cool. but not really. they are probably my favorite animal ever and i love them to death, i dsilike my dog however. She is rude and obnoxious and barks to much and she smells weird. But she is also very friendly and nice and doglike so i love her but i hate her because of unsaid things that i cannot legally disclose.

Our society calls for reform.

I'll start off with the fact that I have an honest, true hatred for dogs.

Dogs are found in many homes in America, and among other countries. People have a tendency of obsessing over their dogs, going out of their way to provide for them, take care of them, and make sure their happiness is at a maximum. People sacrifice money, time, energy, and comfort for the sake of their dogs. What do the dogs ever provide in return? I don't see them paying for your doctor's bills, doing your hair for you, or even opening doors for you. If I ever had a boyfriend who peed outside, barked at doorbells, needed my assistance to bathe him, farted on my bed, and ate food off of the floor, I would not hesitate to dump him. So why do we lower our standards for smaller, hairier nearly lifelong partners who don't even take us out to dinner? Isn't it illogical to put so much into something with no compensation in return?

It's odd how our society decided to pick one species and title it 'Man's Best Friend'. Why dogs? Parrots are great, they can provide all of the company that dogs are capable of and more. Dogs can't greet you as you walk in the door with a cheery hello, nor can they fly next door and deliver a message for you.  Horses are way more useful than dogs as well. Such a large creature may be a slight inconvenience, but at least horses, unlike large dogs, don't force their great mass onto your lap while your watching television or your bed in the morning. You can domesticate armadillos, turtles, penguins. Every other animal can poop on the floor and sit on your couch all day, why did we pick dogs? There's no reason for us to choose dogs over these other perfectly acceptable animals.


I think after centuries of loyalty to these creatures, it's about time we as humanity broaden our familiar traditions and rid ourselves of this popular canine plague.

So, I have this best friend. Her name is Lauren Elaine Clark and I love her more than I've ever loved any boyfriend, puppy, cold piece of pizza, or grandma. We've been best friends for five years. And there's a long friendship that came before that. Without her, I would be a homeless meth addict with an eating disorder undergoing sexual advances in return for money.

Imitation Writing

Original Passage:

"A parent who really desires to understand his child does not look at him through the screen of an ideal. If he loves the child, he observes him, he studies his tendencies, his moods and peculiarities. Imitation Passage:
A person who truly believes in establishing true friendship with another will not see the other through the screen of judgment and ignorance. If one believes the friendship is true, one listens , accepts the quirks and peculiarities, and keep the mind opened to that which they do not know. It is only when one doesn't receive this treatment in return that one may begin to title the friendship as false, and that the motive of the other is full of ill intentions. If one truly loves a friend, both parties must be willing to sacrifice for that of the other, and sacrifice of the valued leads to a truly unbreakable bond of friendship. With an acquired friendship comes an acquired understanding of oneself."

Jiddu Krishnamurti

Philosopher, author, inspiration.

Krishnamurti is more of a thinker than he is anything. Putting what he does in his work into words and describing it is honestly a difficult task. This author analyzes life and society as a whole through breaking down the basis of consciousness in individuals. He puts great detail into explaining why we as humanity act in the way that we do, and what our behaviors have done for us. By taking commonly faced situations in society and dissecting them, it causes readers to think about the big picture, and assists in the impossible task of reaching an understanding on the purpose of life and education as a whole. In his writing, Krishnamurti depends heavily on metaphors, comparing the reason behind human behavior to events which relate to help his readers better understand the concept that's so difficult to grasp the mind around. Along with these, by analyzing society, he advises the most beneficial decision on how to fix the mess of society which we've created through inspirational yet simple messages.

An excerpt from his book "Education and the Significance of Life"

"Fear perverts intelligence and is one of the causes of self centered action. Discipline may suppress fear but does not eradicate it, and the superficial knowledge which we receive in modern education only further conceals it. When we are young, fear is instilled into most of us both a home and at school. Neither parents nor teachers have the patience, the time or the wisdom to dispel the instinctive fears of childhood, which, as we grow up, dominate our attitudes and judgment and create a great many problems. The right kind of education must take into consideration this question of fear, because fear warps our whole outlook on life."

Death metal lyrics are written art that are the driving force in praising the perverse and obscene. There are feelings, beliefs, and ideas portrayed in these lyrics that many people are afraid to admit to thinking about, never mind encompassing their entire lives into them as vocalist Scott Lewis has. Scott Lewis is the vocalist for the band Carnifex. His work is identified with feelings of anger, withdrawal, loss, and impulse which all people have experienced and can relate to. His work inspires me to accept my feelings, and he has a way of elucidating my thoughts and putting them in a more simpler manner that I can comprehend with ease. The savage, vulgar lyrics reak with destruction as I sometimes feel my mind does, which makes me feel comfortable and more able to accept my feelings as a healthy part of life. Scott Lewis' helps me let go of situations, move on, and channel frustration. Lately I feel as if I am psychologically dependent on the rage this man excretes. Any problem in the world can be solved by simply listening the words of Scott Lewis. If anyone ever feels lost, angry, alone, or heartbroken, the words of this great man can be very therapeutic if you take the time to allow his influence.
